With funding from the Wexham & The Ivers Community Board, 2 new ‘Buddy Benches’ have been installed at Iver Recreation Ground and Iver Heath Recreation.
Made of sustainable material and fitted securely in the ground by the Grounds Maintenance team there has been no direct cost to the community except installation labour and materials. The ground has been saturated for some months and as soon as suitable for installation (and between rain deluges) the necessary fitting took place. They are securely fitted and bolted down to prevent, as much as we can, theft and removal.
We have one further Buddy Bench to install in Richings Park and we are currently agreeing the locations and obtaining the relevant approval to do this.
