Former Ivers Parish Councillor

Colin was born in Windsor in 1941 and attended Slough Grammar and then attended Manchester University having won a scholarship to do so.

He was a school Prefect and an excellent student, winning the rotary club prize in 1959 for service above self. He was awarded the book “The Plains of Abraham”.

Colin enjoyed an eclectic mix of literature, classical music, football, cycling and walking. Colin taught at Langley Grammar school ( English, History and RE). He was very community minded and gave a great deal of time to the Parish when he retired and became a Parish Councillor, being an active member of the Amenities Committee. He wrote articles and crosswords for the parish magazine and refereed football matches for many local youth teams. He will be fondly remembered by many Councillors and residents.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 26th March, at 1:00pm at Slough Crematorium Chapel, followed by the burial at Slough Cemetery.

Family, friends, and all those who wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend. Following the service, refreshments will be provided at Arbor Park, Slough Town Football Club.
